About Me.

I've always been the kind of person who needs to know what's happening behind the scenes. Whether I'm watching TV (where I drive my friends crazy analyzing every production detail) or joining a new organization, I'm driven by an insatiable curiosity to understand how things work. This curiosity, paired with my natural ambition, has shaped my entire journey.

In high school, I couldn't help but get involved in everything I could – I just had to be where decisions were being made. It started with becoming a student government senator, where I discovered my love for being "in the know" and having a hand in making things happen. This led to becoming the school spirit president, and in what might be my most memorable display of commitment, I even volunteered as the school mascot. Yes, I literally put on a tiger costume because I couldn't bear the thought of not being part of the action!

I'm also known for my storytelling – just ask my friends, who either eagerly request "that one story" or playfully sigh "here we go" when I start one of my (admittedly detailed) tales. It's more than just entertainment for me; it's how I connect with people and share experiences.

​

When choosing a college, the University of Wisconsin-Madison (ranked 39th nationally) was perfect for someone like me who wanted to be where things were happening. I dove into their prestigious School of Journalism (ranked 5th in overall quality), where I could feed both my curiosity and ambition through:

  • Writing for The Daily Cardinal

  • Active membership in the Association of Women in Sports Media

  • Working at a campus store

​

This drive to be involved and my natural curiosity have shaped my professional journey, leading me to seek out opportunities where I could make a real impact while learning the ins and outs of the industry.

The Turning Point

Taking a class called Digital Brand Building at UW-Madison was my "aha" moment. It showed me how my love for storytelling and my need to be behind the scenes could come together in advertising and marketing. Suddenly, everything clicked – this was how I could turn my natural curiosity into a career.

​

What really defines me is my "figure it out" mentality. When faced with a challenge, I'm the first to raise my hand and say "I'll find a way." It's this approach that has opened doors throughout my journey and continues to drive me forward in digital marketing and brand strategy. After all, being the person who finds solutions is just another way of staying in the know!
